42nd Street

Every year at my school, Carey Grammar, there are musicals performed by the Senior, Middle and Junior schools. This year, the Senior school performed the Broadway show 42nd Street. They practiced for nearly a year and finally released the performance to the paying public only two weeks ago. Our family decided to give it a try.

It was wonderful show, amazing! It was a song-and-dance spectacular full of great acting and songs, and the most amazing dance routines. The lighting was great, the costumes were dazzling and the music was catchy!

After the performance Nathaniel asked Mum “So how many of those actors were professionals?” The fact is, although the show was organised by professionals, every performer was a student from Carey and no older than seventeen!

Overall it was a great show and experience. Well done everyone!
